A Merry and Bright 2020

And just like that, we are about to embark on a brand new year. New memories, new experiences, new highs, and new challenges...

But that's life isn't it?

If someone had told me that 2019 was going to be one crazy year, I would have said, "No way!"

But as it turns out, it would be one of the most tumultuous years in a while. And that's an understatement.  Watching someone you love battle chronic health issues, losing a parent unexpectedly, planning for and trying to take care of aging loved ones, and on and on the list goes. One can't make this stuff up. It's real life, and I guess it makes for great content to write about in 2020, so stay tuned!

And you know what?

We are all battling something. Whether it's debating a career change, a move across the country, getting bad news about your health or the health of a loved one, losing someone to death, divorce or a breakup, having your kids leave the nest and head off to college...everyone you encounter each day is going through something. So just be kind whenever you can because you never know when someone you meet is facing some difficult circumstances. And I think we can all agree that the world needs more kindness.

So how do we face a new year of inevitable highs and lows?

I think the answer lies in Wayne Dyer and something he's said again and again - If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. No matter what happens in life, good or bad, if we focus on the positive and try to see the beauty in some of the ugly, this will see us through the difficult times.

This 2020, I'm hopeful the tides will change. I'm praying for and believing in miracles. I'm hoping to continue to see the beauty and love in the human experience. I'm looking forward to spending more time with friends and family, laughing more and creating lasting memories.

So here's to another new year. May your 2020 be merry with family and loved ones and bright with opportunities, faith and hope.

And may you live your best life ever.

Happy New Year!
