Big Little Moments - A Dance for Two

Married life is hard ya'll. Especially with raising a family and going through life. Right? Some couples are fortunate enough to have family and a huge support system around so they can have date nights on a regular basis, but not us. So we have to treasure the moments whenever we can...

Last November we were lucky enough to leave Buddy Roller with my MIL, and The Hubs and I stole away to the Bahamas for a few days. It was magical! It was a sweet escape, and we got to do meaningful things like hold hands, take walks, play table tennis, take a ride on jet skis, lounge by the beach, and have date night every night while we were there. Just the two of us.

I was so grateful for that time. And The Hubs was too.

The Hubs has reminded me, on more than one occasion, of how we use to be able to go out dancing whenever we wanted. So while we were on our little getaway, we made sure to do a little dancing at the resort. It wasn't exactly the scene he was talking about, but we made it work.

One night, weeks after we'd returned home, and Buddy Roller was already in bed, we had our own little dance for two. I can't remember whose idea it was, and I can't even remember what song was playing. But all I know is, there were lots of smiles and laughter, a few twirls here and there, and maybe even a dip at the end.

We can't get out and date and travel (just us two) as often as we'd like because that's the season of life we're in right now. And that's okay. But, it's the big little moments like these that are special because they are few and far between.
