Illustrious. Adjective. It means...
..."well known, respected, and admired for past achievements." I got introduced, using this word, this week, at a school meeting. As part of my Teacher of the Year "duties", I had to lead my colleagues in completing an online survey at our monthly faculty meeting.
I hate public speaking. I have bad memories of it, and it makes me really uncomfortable. I've even thought about doing this to get over my fear. But how could I not feel a little excited after being introduced that way? It certainly gave me the boost I needed.
Wow. Illustrious. Me.
