And just like that, we're celebrating another birthday...
I once read somewhere that a kid's birthday celebration should include guests totaling the birthday age...plus a couple more. I like that idea, and that's just what we did. Buddy Roller decided on the guest list, and we kept it simple. An hour of playtime at a gymnastics center that included bounce houses, a rock climbing wall, a zip line, and lots of running and jumping into a foam pit. Oh and let's not forget lots of screaming and sweaty kids. The Hubs, being the big kid that he is, also made the day more fun by playing "Dungeon." The idea is to catch screaming kids and throw them into the foam pit. Next, we served cupcakes and ice cream bars, got the kids all sugared up, and then we sent them home with their parents. I'm pretty sure every kid will sleep soundly tonight.
And just like that...we have a seven year old! I keep asking myself...where did the time go?
